The Sourashtra Cuisine

Welcome to The Land of Ambutbaath

foodbar

Sourashtra people migrated from north India to settle in Tamilnadu. Although we still maintain our own language much of what we eat has been largely influenced by Tamilian cuisine. We have taken Tamilian items and have added our unique touch. Once you have eaten Sourashtra made Limbu Pongal (lemon rice), Ambut Baath (puliyodharai), Phalar (Idli) with Thakkali Ounty (thakkali kulambu), you will start demanding for that everywhere. I have added a few Sourashtra Classics and the database also has user added recipes, under different categories. Try a few, and I will guarantee you will come back for more. Also try Meena Kuttuva's Kitchen Corner for more Sourashtra Recipes.
